After School Workshops with LEGO®
Our After School programs build on the popularity of LEGO® to deliver high quality Educational Play!
We will be running our workshops at Mount Stuart Primary (Mondays), Princes St Primary (Tuesdays) and Cambridge Primary Wednesdays) in Term 4 2021.
Our one hour workshops explore architecture, engineering and technology concepts. Students will participate in 8 week long sessions constructing a new model each week.
Each workshop is designed to include a balance of Fun with Learning. We integrate core STEM (Science, Technology, Engineering and Mathematics) content into all our programs. For each option proposed below, we incorporate our ‘We Learn! We Build! We Play!’ philosophy.
We Learn: Our trained Bricks 4 Kidz® instructors lead a discussion related to that day’s model.
We Build: Children build the model of the day with instructions. Kids experience the hands-on fun of model building, from concept to completion. All of our models are designed by Bricks 4 Kidz® model designers, so you won’t find them on the shelves of your local toy store.
We Play: Children explore their own creativity through free play time at the end of the program.
There will be a variety of different types of LEGO® builds completed throughout the term. We will use our Mosaic kits to create amazing LEGO® mosaics, our Colour kits to create interesting 3D colour models and our Project kits, where we use Technic LEGO® to build a moving creation – often using a battery and motor.
