2017 Term 2 After School is Open for Enrolment

In 2017 Term 2 After School, BRICKS 4 KIDZ® is introducing Interesting Inventions. Students will learn the difference between an invention and a discovery, learn how inventions solve problems, and discover how gadgets work. Combine Junior Robotics with Interesting Inventions, students will learn basic concepts of robotics and computer programming.

Interesting Inventions

Interesting InventionsEach week, students are encouraged to think of what they could invent, or improvements they could make to an existing gadget. Students will be introduced to the world of ideas, creativity, inventions and gadgets. Inventions and gadgets during this term include the typewriter, turnstile and an optical illusion. Each model is motorised for maximum fascination and engagement! Ages 5+

Jr.RoboticsWEDOImage_v1This term, we are thrilled to be offering Interesting Inventions combined with WEDO® 2.0 Software Programming. This program is an excellent introduction to basic concepts of robotics and computer programming. While doing so, they will also explore Interesting Inventions. Students will be introduced to the world of ideas, creativity, inventions and gadgets. Inventions and gadgets during this term include the typewriter, turnstile and an optical illusion. Each model is motorised and can be programmed for maximum fascination and engagement! Age 7+

After School - Forest CrescentCome and join in all the fun of our BRICKS 4 KIDZ® After School Workshops with LEGO®! The one hour After School Workshops explore architecture, engineering and technology concepts as kids build motorised models using LEGO® Bricks. Core STEM (Science, Technology, Engineering and Mathematics) content are integrated into all our programs. During each session, we incorporate our philosophy – We Learn! We Build! We Play! With the introduction of Junior Robotics using WEDO® 2.0, students will learn basic concepts of robotics and computer programming as well.

Please note:

Trial Session

  • Interesting Inventions is $15 per session.
  • Interesting Inventions with Junior Robotics is $20 per session.
  • Payment can made on the day of the chosen workshop.

Cancellations

  • Cancellations made at least THREE weeks from the start date of the workshop will receive an 80% refund.
  • Cancellations made TWO to THREE weeks from the start date of the workshop will receive a 50% refund.
  • There will be NO REFUND for any cancellations made LESS than TWO week prior to the scheduled date of the workshop.
  • Bricks 4 Kidz Karrinyup reserves the right to cancel a workshop due to low registration. Where this occurs, students may opt for another workshop if places are available OR receive a full refund.

Missed Classes

  • Unfortunately, due to the nature of the program, we cannot make up missed classes. However, where there are extenuating circumstances for the cancellation i.e. if the child is sick with proof of medical certificate, Bricks 4 Kidz Karrinyup would credit the amount to the family’s account which they could use to offset against their subsequent enrolment.

Payment

  • All fees quoted are in Australian dollars and inclusive of GST.
  • Payment can be made via bank transfer or using credit cards online through our secure payment gateway.
  • Full payment should be made at the time of enrolment to confirm your child’s placement.
